The Academy of Arts & Minds Charter High School welcomes new music director Dr. Sam Lussier and Dr. Federico Bonacossa, who are offering a Summer Music Camp on Aug. 13 & 14, 2010, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m..
The Academy of Arts & Minds Music Camp is a two-day intensive musical and educational experience and is open to anyone who plays an instrument, especially high school band/orchestra students throughout the Greater Miami Area. The camp offers more than 10 hours of personalized instruction for all band and orchestra instruments as well as guitar. Instrumental ensembles include: Symphony Orchestra, String Orchestra, Concert Band, Percussion Ensemble and Jazz Ensemble.
The music camp faculty will include eight world-class master musicians/teachers Dr. Jamie Ousley (bass & cello), Dr. Federico Bonacossa (guitar), Mr. John Kricker (low brass), Mr. Brandon Cruz (percussion), Mr. David Fernandez (saxophone & jazz improvisation), Mr. Tom Moore (violin & viola) and Mr. Gary Gottfried (oboe, English horn,& flute).
The cost for the two-day camp is $50, to be paid on or before Wednesday, Aug. 11.
Payments by credit card, cash and check are accepted during our summer office hours, Mon.-Fri., 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Please make checks payable to A&M Music Boosters and send them along with your name, contact number, and the instrument(s) you play to:
